This session introduces you to implementing Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) on the IBM i platform. It provides a practical introduction to key SOA technologies such as Web services. It covers representing your IBM i applications and data resources as services, as well as leveraging services in your current applications. It also covers deployment options and the run time environment.

George Weaver is a Web solution consultant with the IBM Systems and Technology Group lab services organization in Rochester, MN. He has provided consultations, education, writings, Web content and videos to help IBM i clients, business partners and solution providers enhance their applications and services portfolios over the last 15 years. His current areas of focus include Web application development; Service-Oriented Architecture; WebSphere Application Server and IBM i integrated servers configuration, administration, and performance; and IBM Smart Business implementation.
